Objectives


To describe how e-learning is being integrated into the training of maintenance technicians by a national training authority illustrated through the piloting of the training in a large multinational ICT manufacturing firm.

  • To provide a case study of the vision, history, barriers encountered and successes achieved as they integrated e-learning into their training delivery systems.
  • To identify transferable practice from the experience for other similar organisations.


  • The case study focuses on training in the technical field including pneumatics, mechanics, hydraulics, electrical and PLC skills and knowledge. It is divided into 17 parts:
