What organisations say about the Toolkit

Media [The Toolkit is a] good way of focusing attention on areas that we need to look at further. Using it helped us consider areas needing a lot more attention, gave us a good basis to take things forward for action plan, connected to our business plan - we'll use it as a framework for our next year's (April 04) business plan.Media

MediaIDeA's Improvement Model is a change framework - based on number of sources including the Toolkit - to examine the change process for e-learning.Media

MediaOverall the feedback was that the Toolkit would be very useful in the mainstreaming of e-learning and would help the organisation to consider those factors that could support their change programme and particularly the development of their e-government services and the changes that would be required to achieve their e-government mandate. The Head of Business Performance agreed to share the information about the Toolkit with a senior management group including the heads of Human Resources and Organisational Development.Media

MediaThe Toolkit is useful as a way of structuring our thinking about e-learning. We've never had a structure before. It gives a formality to what we are trying to do, will help give us credibility and recognition for what we are trying to do in the College. This recognition may help to bring more people into the process - get them involved more.Media

MediaThe Toolkit looks like it provides a structured approach to the implementation of e-learning within an organisation. It provides a consistent methodology for the consideration of key factors that influence and effect e-learning. I think that using the concept of a 'champion' is a good way of disseminating information and experience with the toolkit, providing the organisation is fully committed to an e-learning strategy. SEMTA is in the process of examining how e-learning can be used to support our business objectives and key decisions will be made on the priorities of this work relative to our business objectives - Lindsay's engineering sector hub is an obvious example of how e-learning will be used in this way. I think that once we are clear on how e-learning will be incorporated into our business strategy, the ICCA Toolkit will provide a very useful mechanism for the development of the approach.Media
