Continuous development and sharing for quality and efficiency
As a result of the piloting, there is a recognition that 'resources' may not all be fixed. They will need continuous development and updating and systems need to be put in place to ensure that this occurs. This will be a challenge as FAS intend to allow continuous intake into the modules. They also need to ensure optimal return on investment by the sharing of these resources across the whole organisation, including other selected centres.
Given the tradition of the organisation, where a large amount of autonomy exists at training centre level, the potential of e-learning to optimise resource investment will only be realised if structural systems are put in place to support efficient sharing and on-going quality control.
