Unlike in Blyth Valley, e-learning is very new to RBWM. The majority of staff in the council are unlikely to have any expectations of e-learning - most may have heard the term but in the view of Neil Thomas, Management Development Advisor, few have much understanding of what it means in terms of learning.
Senior management have recently been introduced to PRIME (IDeA's 20+ hour e-learning resources for Leadership Development), aimed at improving leadership and management skills across the senior management (a requirement highlighted by a recent CPA report) - introduced by the Human Resources Manager and endorsed by the CEO. Recently introduced, the feedback on PRIME has been good so far and has been the first introduction to learning technologies for the senior management.
