Training and development in RBWM



The training and development section comprises the recently appointed Management Development Advisor and one other staff member. The unit is primarily delivering ICT training and management training and is responsible for other training where it is a corporate wide requirement. All other training and development including job specific induction, is undertaken at local/department level. This means that training resources (and notably budgets) are dispersed throughout the Council; decisions on e-learning investment will therefore either be taken at corporate level (within a relatively small budget) or require local/department resources to be agreed. (There is no corporate wide exchange between training and performance requirements either at a department or individual level.)
