Preparing for the pilot

The piloting of the Learning for Living e-learning resources, as envisaged by the ICCA pilot team, was intended to replicate the way the resources would be used in the FE sector working with a community based Carers' Centre. It was therefore important to understand what implications this had in terms of the steps that would occur in the life cycle from initiation of discussions with potential learners through to post learning guidance for future options and the tasks required to be completed at each step. The group prepared a document that identified during the life cycle of the pilot, the tasks and allocation of responsibilities for each aspect of the life cycle. Together, they developed the Pilot Process Model (Diagram 1). This ICCA Life Cycle document should be read in conjunction with Diagram 1 above as it provides useful information on the processes and stakeholders involved in such a use case.

This ICCA pilot team document includes recommendations for learner ICT assessment and the provision of information and advice about the course, followed by the preparation of an Individual Learning Plan.
