Sharing practice as a development process
In the few weeks prior to the pilot, Carers UK identified three tutors who had experienced tutoring the Learning for Living e-learning resources through earlier test phases. It was agreed to establish a weekly phone conference whereby these tutors, together with the Lewisham pilot tutor, would share their experience both before and during the pilot and agree practice approaches, as well as work to resolve any problems that might arise. Occasionally, the other members of the team joined them as observers and to answer questions if needed.
