Who should use this document, and how?
If you are moving into the business of supplying or producing interactive e-services for learners, this document was written for you. You may be a learning professional charged with implementing e-learning, in a company that wishes to get the benefits of online learning support to employees or a specialist in e-services for learners who wishes to understand the barriers to market better. In each case, this document holds information that will help you to increase the benefits of your implementation and reduce the likelihood of making costly mistakes.
This and other support material is provided by the ICCA (Increasing Citizens' Choice and Access) project, which is sponsored by HM Treasury through the Invest to Save project and provided by a strategic partnership of e-service providers and users lead by City & Guilds. This document contains distilled learning from across the partnership about production and operation of interactive e-services, and should be used together with the ICCA Toolkit, case studies, pilot reports, quality in e-learning and research.
This document does not cover the disciplines of project management or change management. Though these are essential to success there are already many resources available and this document does not seek to duplicate them.
