By June 2002, according to a one-page document entitled Lewisham College e-learning development plan, there was recognition that the college needed to move from a situation of 'pockets' of ILT to one where 'new technology is appropriately embedded in all aspects of the learner pathway transforming it into an e-learning pathway'. The document sets out what this would involve in terms of staff, infrastructure and process development: - Defining entitlement for students in terms of ICTs and ILTs.
- Defining the e-staff skills required.
- Refining the e entitlement for staff.
- Developing and implementing an e-staff development plan including ICT and ILT skills as appropriate.
- Developing a good practice guide to ILT.
- Developing appropriate e-assessment opportunities at all points of the learner pathway from pre entry to progression.
- Developing/identifying and cataloguing an e- bank of curriculum resources appropriately embedded in blended learning programmes.
- Developing seamless College systems to support both staff and students in the blended learning opportunities available.
- Developing 'emorethaness'.
It is evident that, from the mid 90's the vision focused on integration, equipment and access. By 2000, the vision retained a focus on integration but it was much more deeply considered, and the focus was largely on staff development and embedding technology into learning and assessment processes. ..continue to ILT champions
